Raising awareness for INTERDEPENDENT Pictures in Old HOLLWYOOD style through partying and poker
About
The "Fundrager" event marks the start of INTERDEPENDENT Pictures financial commitment to productions and the studio established to support them. Typically, this event would end the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER option period, but because Studio 1 got a late start, the EP reading period will be extended through the end of the INTERDEPENDENT Pictures Texas Hold' Em Poker Series. This HOLLYWOOD 3.0 poker series will replace a single Fundrager event, and unless a request to attend is otherwise approved on Plots to friends of @grandplotmaster, the poker series will be exclusively for senior members of those prospective INTERDEPENDENT Studio Partners listed here.
What's a STUDIO PARTNER?
STUDIO PARTNERS provide co-funding alongside EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS. When an individual EXECUTIVE PRODUCER decides to invest money in a production after looking at all the available information, PRODUCTION PARTNERS agree to automatically co-invest alongside EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS and contribute the same amount (or more) at the same time as this EXECUTIVE PRODUCER. This additional funding multiplies the investment of EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS so that fewer individual EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS are required to reach a Production's funding goal. STUDIO PARTNERS may contribute some multiple of the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER amount and give for example 1x 2x 3x or more to further leverage the EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS decisions and accelerate funding in the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR's discretion. Currently, STUDIO PARTNER are limited to funding no more than 75% of a production's budget. The rest must come from audience crowdfunding and EXECUTIVE PRODUCER equity crowdfunding contributions.
Financial decisions related to investment in a Hollywood film by traditional studios and independent producers spending larger and larger sums of money eventually comes around to a discussion of why you need to have one or more of the following to make a big movie these days:
Basically, anything is possible, but getting an original screenplay from an unknown writer/director without star attachments studio support in HOLLYWOOD is difficult to say the least.
The idea of a HOLLYWOOD version 3.0 is taken from the concept of today's internet. Web 3.0, also known as Web3, is the third generation of the World Wide Web. Web 3.0 is meant to be decentralized, open to everyone and use a bottom-up design. Rather than being written and controlled by a small group of experts, the code was created in full view of everyone, enabling maximum participation and experimentation.
The result of these Web 3.0 concepts applied to HOLLYWOOD show business is INTERDEPENDENT Pictures and the emergence of HOLLYWOOD 3.0.
INTERDEPENDENT is open to everyone. Everyone is a READER, and anyone can submit a screenplay, audition for a part, be attached as DIRECTOR, become an EXECUTIVE PRODUCER investor or partner behind the scenes in a role on any production.
Every INTERDEPENDENT Picture is recommended by an audience of READERS, funded by an audience of EXECUTIVE PRODUCER equity investors, and green-lit by audiences in theaters watching a PREVIEW and purchasing premiere tickets as a way to support the film before the feature is even produced. Armed with the knowledge that a paying audience exists for a film before the feature has been produced means we no longer need to rely on old HOLLYWOOD decision making:
"Read a screenplay and RECOMMEND it for production in our Telegram mailroom, or buy a ticket to PREVIEW FEST on Plots to support its premiere! More people will have the opportunity to make their movie if you do.”
